I recently started wearing a FitBit to bed and I noticed that I don't get a whole lot of "deep/REM sleep" (ranges from 1-3 hours). Given that nocturnal penile tumescence only occurs during deep sleep, I would assume you're less likely to wake up with morning wood if you consistently have poor sleep hygiene.
